About Selwyn Skevin

Selwyn Skevin
Selwyn Skevin provides clients with steady guidance and unwavering advocacy, ensuring that their interests are protected both inside and outside the courtroom. His practice spans a wide range of civil litigation matters, including business disputes, foreclosure defense, landlord–tenant conflicts, condominium law, collections, and tort-related claims. In addition, he devotes significant attention to family law, assisting clients with divorce proceedings, child support and maintenance, parentage cases, protective orders, and post-decree issues.

Admitted to practice in Illinois as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Mr. Skevin brings a solid combination of legal knowledge and practical business insight to every case. He earned his Juris Doctor from the John Marshall Law School (now part of the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law). Before pursuing his legal career, he completed a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies with a business concentration at Arizona State University.

Prior to entering law, Selwyn gained valuable financial and negotiation experience as a mortgage advisor in both Arizona and Illinois, working with institutions such as Morgan Stanley. This background gives him a distinctive perspective when addressing complex legal challenges, helping him craft solutions that are fair, strategic, and well-informed.
